The Beta AR men's membrane jacket is one of the most versatile models in the Arcteryx range. It will perform brilliantly during a mountain hike, climbing or skydiving expedition. The special feature of the jacket is its high resistance to damage. Thanks to the latest version of the GORE-TEX® Pro Most Rugged membrane, the three-layer laminate of the Beta AR model is highly resistant to abrasion and tears. The robust and abrasion-resistant N80d 3L Most Rugged face fabric is used in the most tear-prone areas, while the lighter and more breathable N40d 3L Most Rugged is used in the rest.

The GORE-TEX® Pro membrane also provides absolute protection against all kinds of rain, snow and wind. Thanks to its microporous structure, it efficiently wicks away moisture that forms on the surface of the skin during exertion.

The StormHood™ hood can be adjusted quickly and easily, and has been sewn to accommodate a climbing helmet. Additional protection for the face and neck is provided by the high, built-in collar.

The extremely spacious front pockets have been positioned so that they do not interfere with the climbing harness worn.
